# SDK licence

> The terms under which studios use and ship the PIO Unity SDK.

This is the licence shipped in the SDK package as `LICENSE.md`, for the latest release.

Copyright (c) 2026 Pioneer Optimisation Limited.

This licence covers the PIO SDK (the "SDK"), including its source code,
compiled native libraries and documentation. "We" means Pioneer
Optimisation Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with
company number 16169418, whose registered office is at 33 Pound Hill,
Great Brickhill, Milton Keynes, MK17 9AS, England. "You" means the person
or organisation using the SDK.

## 1. What you may do

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide, royalty-free
licence to:

* use the SDK to develop, test and run your games and apps; and
* redistribute the SDK in object-code form only, as an integrated part of
  your games and apps.

## 2. What you may not do

You may not:

* redistribute the SDK on its own, or as part of an SDK, library, plugin
  or toolkit for other developers;
* reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the SDK's native libraries,
except to the extent applicable law expressly permits it despite this
  restriction; or
* use the SDK, or any part of it, to build or support a service that
  competes with the PIO service.

## 3. The PIO service

The SDK connects to the PIO service. Your use of the PIO service is
subject to the PIO terms of service, which this licence does not change.

## 4. No warranty

The SDK is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or
implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a
particular purpose and non-infringement. To the extent the law allows,
we are not liable for any claim, damage or other liability arising from
the SDK or its use.

## 5. Ending this licence

This licence ends automatically if you break it. We reserve all rights
not expressly granted here.

## 6. Governing law

This licence is governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of
England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from
it.
